Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer HICAP Counselor
As a Volunteer HICAP Counselor, you will empower clients to make informed decisions about their healthcare. You will educate Medicare beneficiaries and their families about their benefits, choices, rights, and protections, and advocate on their behalf to resolve problems. We provide comprehensive training and support to equip you with everything you need to support Medicare beneficiaries in our community.
Volunteer Attorney
As a volunteer attorney, you will provide pro bono legal representation on a flexible basis that works with your schedule. Please see below for more information on pro bono opportunities, and please contact us if your firm wants to connect to our Paladin network.
We also welcome attorneys and PLLs who want to volunteer on a recurring basis. You will work side-by-side with our attorneys, and we will offer training and shadowing opportunities to familiarize you with the areas of law that we practice. You can work in multiple programs and handle a variety of legal issues or specialize in an area of interest.
Law Student Internships
We offer rolling internships for law students in San Diego and those who work remotely. As an intern, you will get training and work under a staff attorney’s supervision. Once you acclimate to our platforms and protocols, we will assign you projects and tasks, such as talking to clients, doing legal research and writing, drafting demand letters, and attending meetings involving partnerships, legislative initiatives, and policy.
