Elena Walsh Ferre

HICAP Volunteer Coordinator

Why This Work is Important To Me

Growing up in Spain, I developed a profound connection with my grandparents, whose wisdom and guidance greatly influenced my values and aspirations. This close relationship instilled in me a deep respect for the elderly and a commitment to ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve. My academic background in law has provided me with the analytical skills and knowledge necessary to navigate complex systems. I derive immense satisfaction from advocating for individuals’ rights and helping them make well-informed decisions regarding Medicare. This work allows me to merge my passion for assisting others with my legal expertise, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for seniors and people with disabilities.

Elena is committed to educating the community about EL&A’s free, unbiased Medicare counseling services. With a background in law and a passion for advocacy, Elena excels in explaining the complexities of Medicare and helping clients navigate their options. Elena manages a group of over 20 Volunteer Counselors, collaborates with organizations serving seniors, and provides individuals with essential information to make informed decisions.

Drawing on a deep connection to family and a professional dedication to client service, Elena goes above and beyond to assist clients, ensuring they receive the best possible support.

In her free time, Elena enjoys working out, reading, and engaging in various outdoor activities. She also loves spending time with family and friends, continuing the tradition of close-knit relationships that began with her beloved grandparents in Spain.
